Baseline Pistol+Carbine
NOVA Dynamic Training Group’s Combined Baseline Pistol + Carbine course is an intensive, full-day training experience designed to establish and refine foundational performance on both systems—handgun and rifle. Whether you’re new to shooting or a more seasoned shooter, this course provides structured, high-rep instruction focused on technical proficiency, safe manipulation, and real-world application across both platforms.
Students will be guided through the essential mechanics, manipulation, and operation of both systems, in addition to marksmanship drills and diagnostic assessments to promote a baseline level of reinforced skills, supporting the operation of both platforms confidently and competently.

The day is split into two focused training blocks:

Morning Session (4 Hours): Baseline Pistol Fundamentals

Afternoon Session (4 Hours): Baseline Carbine Fundamentals

Tuition: $390 (group, LE, and military rates available)

Prerequisites: None. However, basic familiarity with pistol and rifle platforms is prudent.

Training Topics Include:
Pistol Block (AM):

Firearms safety, storage, and administrative handling

Grip, stance, sight picture, and trigger control

Draw stroke and presentation from holster

Combat marksmanship and recoil control

Reloads (emergency and tactical)

Malfunction identification and clearance

Handgun with 3 magazines

Quality OWB/IWB holster (preferably Kydex material)

Magazine pouch

Ammunition: 300 rounds

Eye and ear protection (electronic preferred)

Hydration, gloves, notepad, writing pen,weather-appropriate clothing
Carbine
Training Topics Include:
Carbine Block (PM):

Rifle setup, optics, sling configuration, and zeroing

Ready positions, mount mechanics, and recoil management

Target transitions and rapid shot placement
-
Reloads and malfunction resolution
-
Positional shooting and movement-based drills
-
Rifle-to-pistol transitions (time permitting)
