Prerequisite Equivalency & Baseline Standards Policy

​NOVA Dynamic Training Group requires the successful completion of designated prerequisite courses prior to enrollment in Applied and Dynamic-level training programs. Students who have not completed NOVA’s prerequisite Baseline and/ or Applied courses may request consideration for enrollment based on equivalent training completed through other reputable training organizations. All such requests are evaluated on a case-by-case basis at the sole discretion of NOVA Dynamic Training Group.

Students seeking prerequisite equivalency must submit valid Certificates of Completion from the respective training organizations at the time of registration for review and consideration.

All students, including those granted prerequisite equivalency, are required to successfully complete NOVA’s Baseline Standards Qualifier (BSQ) administered at the beginning of each course. Successful completion of the BSQ is mandatory to continue participation in the remainder of the course.

Students who do not successfully complete the BSQ will not be eligible for a refund of course fees. However, the full course fee will be credited toward enrollment in a suitable NOVA prerequisite course, to be applied within a timeframe determined by NOVA Dynamic Training Group.

Course Cancellation & Rescheduling Policies

NOVA Dynamic Training Group courses are planned, staffed, and resourced in advance based on confirmed student enrollment. As such, the following cancellation and rescheduling policy applies to all course registrations unless otherwise stated in writing.

   Student-Initiated Cancellations

• Cancellations made more than fourteen (14) calendar days prior to the scheduled course date are eligible for a full credit of the course fee toward a future NOVA Dynamic Training Group course.

• Cancellations made within fourteen (14) calendar days of the scheduled course date are not eligible for a refund. However, the course fee may be credited toward a future NOVA course at the discretion of NOVA Dynamic Training Group.

   No-Shows

• Students who fail to attend a course without prior notice (“no-shows”) are not eligible for a refund or credit.

   Rescheduling

• Requests to reschedule must be submitted in writing and are subject to availability.

• Approved rescheduling requests may result in the application of a credit toward a future course rather than a refund.

   NOVA-Initiated Cancellations

• NOVA Dynamic Training Group reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course due to low enrollment, instructor availability, weather, safety considerations, or other unforeseen circumstances.

• In such cases, students will be offered the option of transferring their registration to a future course date or receiving a full refund.

  General Provisions

• All credits issued are non-transferable and may only be applied to future NOVA Dynamic Training Group course offerings.

• NOVA Dynamic Training Group reserves the right to make final determinations regarding cancellations, credits, and rescheduling.
